Xiaomi Redmi S2 live photos, hands-on video published online

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 (Redmi 2S) is almost ready. We’re only waiting for the official announcement and we have a feeling it’s happening very soon. The smartphone was captured in live photos and a hands-on video is up on YouTube. Thanks to a foreign website that posted the images. Unfortunately, the page has since been pulled out. We’re guessing it’s really not meant to be made public but you know, you can’t stop things from leaking. The Xiaomi Redmi S2 was recently spotted on TENAA and we’re certain it’s launching soon.

Enough of the rumors and hype because these hands-on photos prove the mid-range is about to impress the mobile market, at least, in China and India. Xiaomi has been working on this one. It was recently spotted on TENAA but we know it is poised to launch in India as a new entry-level phone.

At the Czech Republic, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 phone appeared early so someone got his hands-on and recorded a video of the device in action. SvetAndroida shared the images and managed to confirm the specs shared earlier: 1440 × 720 LCD screen, 18:9 aspect ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, 16GB/32GB/64GB onboard storage, 2G/3GB/4GB RAM, microSD card slot, 5MP selfie shooter, dual 12MP and 5MP rear cameras with EIS, and a 3000mAh battery. Android 8.1 Oreo will be topped by MIUI 9.
