Today, Samsung officially announced the Galaxy A9 (2018). It is the latest mid-range smartphone from the company that is the first to feature four rear cameras. Not even the LG V40 ThinQ and Huawei P20 Pro can lay claim to such a fact.
Of course, there is more to the Galaxy A9 (2018) than just its four rear cameras. The phone also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. It also comes with a beefy 3,800mAh battery, keeps the headphone jack, and features a nice color gradient around back.
Thankfully, the Galaxy A9 (2018) costs significantly less than what most flagship smartphones charge in 2018. That does not make the phone a super affordable offering, however. Let us take a look at when the Galaxy A9 (2018) launches and how much you will have to fork over for those four rear cameras.
Samsung Galaxy A9 release date
Samsung did not give a specific launch date for the new Galaxy A9. However, the company did say that the phone would launch sometime during mid-November in an unknown number of markets. We do know that the Galaxy A9 (2018) will launch in Europe and the U.K. The U.S. is unlikely to be a launch market.
Samsung Galaxy A9 price and availability
The Galaxy A9 (2018) starts at 599 euros in Europe and 549 pounds in the U.K. One model features 6GB of RAM, while another features 8GB of RAM. The rest of the specifications remain unchanged across the variants, so you will have to determine how much RAM you want in your smartphone. Samsung noted that the model with 8GB of RAM will be available in “certain countries.”
