Razer recently released the all new Blade Stealth, an ultra-portable laptop geared towards productivity by day, and gaming prowess by night. The refresh has received quite a bit of praise so far, winning multiple CES awards for its ultra-slim design and powerful potential when paired with the Razer Core external GPU chassis.
In the last year, Razer also released special edition colors of many of its laptops and peripherals, with items like the Mercury White Blade 15 and Mercury White peripherals catching many people’s attention. In 2018 Razer also released four peripherals in their Quartz Pink colorway, and now it is looking to extend that color to the new Blade Stealth and a number of peripherals.
The Quartz Pink Blade Stealth will be offered with 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, with the same Intel Core i7 8565U CPU and NVIDIA MX150 GPU as the standard model. With a 13.3-inch FHD matte display, Razer says the system should last about 11 hours on its 53.1W battery. The device also sports two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, two USB-A ports, and a headphone jack.
Razer is adding eight new peripherals to its Quartz Pink lineup. These include the Basilisk mouse, Goliathus Extended Chroma mouse mat, Huntsman keyboard, Kraken headset, Raiji Tournament Edition controller for PS4, Seiren X microphone, Base Station Chroma headset stand, and a Quartz Pink case for the Razer Phone 2.
The Quartz Pink edition Blade Stealth will be available for a limited time starting today for $1,599.99, but the peripherals should be available for the foreseeable future, available today as well.
In addition to these announcements, Razer has also announced availability of its new RTX-powered Blade 15 laptops, as well as the RazerCare Elite protection program.
The new Razer Blade 15 features the same components as the previous generation, with the exception of upgrading to NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. While the previous model Razer Blade 15 was available with NVIDIA GTX 1060 and 1070 graphics options, the new generation will be offered with RTX 2060, 2070, and 2080 MaxQ graphics.
The new Razer Blade 15 is available today, starting at $2,299. For a limited time, those who buy RTX-powered Blade 15 laptops will also get two games bundled with their purchase, Anthem and Battlefield V.
The last major announcement is the introduction of the RazerCare Elite program. This is an extension of the RazerCare Essential program, which offered things like 24-hour phone support, subsidized repairs and automatic registration. If customers pay the extra for Elite status, they’ll also have their devices covered from accidental damage, including drops, spills, falls, or collisions.
RazerCare Elite will cost $299.99 for Blade Stealth, $369.99 for Blade 15, $449.99 for Blade Pro 17, and $169 for Razer Phone or Razer Phone 2.
What do you think about the announcements? We had the opportunity to check out the Quartz Pink Blade Stealth at CES and I think it looks fantastic, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
