Pre-order your Google Pixel Slate now at Best Buy, starting at $800

  • The Google Pixel Slate is now available for pre-order from Best Buy.
  • The high-end Chrome OS tablet starts at $800 and maxes out at $1,900 with all available accessories.
  • Be aware that the tablet doesn’t come with the keyboard sleeve — you need to purchase that separately.

Back in October, Google launched the Google Pixel Slate along with the new entries in its smartphone lineup, the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The Pixel 3 is available now for all, but the Pixel Slate, however, is still MIA.

Today though, you can finally pre-order the Pixel Slate from at least one location: Best Buy. The electronics retailer has three different configurations of the Pixel Slate available as well as two accessories (which, let’s be honest, should come with the slate at these prices).

Google Pixel Slate hands-on: An iPad Pro competitor?

The rumors are true: Google unveiled the Google Pixel Slate, a new tablet-laptop hybrid, at the company’s Pixel event today. This is the first tablet we’ve seen from the company since the Pixel C. Unlike …

If that last bit doesn’t make sense to you, here’s how it works: the pre-order pages for the Pixel Slate are for the tablet only. If you want the keyboard sleeve and stylus pen — which pretty much make the tablet into what it’s supposed to be, which is a laptop replacement — you have to buy those items separately.

Here are the prices of the tablet configurations:

  • 64GB — Midnight Blue — Intel Core m3 — $799
  • 128GB — Midnight Blue — Intel Core i5 — $999
  • 256GB — Midnight Blue — Intel Core i7 — $1,599

Once again, those prices are for the tablet only. If you want the keyboard sleeve and/or stylus, those prices are here:

  • Keyboard for Pixel Slate — $199
  • Pixelbook Pen — $99

With all that in mind, buying a maxed-out Google Pixel Slate with all available accessories will set you back a whopping $1,897. Ouch.
