Nokia has recently posted a teaser invitation to an event happening on May 29, Tuesday. Nokia shared what could possibly be next in the Nokia Mobile story. There’s not much hint except for the #ChargedUp hashtag. The event will happen live from Moscow at 19:40 PM (UTC +3). There’s no mention what phone will be unveiled but we’re assuming it will be the Nokia X6. It’s the only Nokia-branded phone being rumored the past few weeks, starting off with the Nokia X TA-1099 smartphone specs detailed on TENAA.

We’ve got a glimpse of what we’re getting from the Nokia X6 including the 5.8-inch FHD+ screen, 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 display, 19:9 aspect ratio, 16MP selfie cam with f/2.0 aperture and face unlock, octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, rear fingerprint scanner, 32GB or 64GB storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion, and 4GB or 6GB RAM. There’s a possibility this could be the international version of the Nokia X6.

The mystery device could also be a refreshed variant of older models but this time, enhanced with a larger battery or perhaps with a faster-charging technology. The #ChargedUp reference could also be for a longer battery life. Nokia seems to be doing really well these days ever since the brand was given a new lease on life last year. The company released a few models last year: the Nokia 2,3,5,6,7, and the Nokia 8. More devices will be released in the coming months and we’re crossing our fingers even in the next few years or decades.

Also recently, HMD Global Nokia received $100M to help make more Nokia phones. This means more choices for Nokia fans and the rest of Android community. For this year, we’re anticipating that Nokia X6, Nokia 8 (2018), and a Nokia 9.

For this year, the flagship phone will feature a notch design. The Nokia 9 can come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a notch design. The smartphone pioneer is enjoying success these days although it can’t still be compared with other bigger OEMs. Of course, Nokia is just one brand but we know it’s definitely doing better than Essential that’s about to be canceled.

Nokia is back to its Finnish roots by rejoining the phone industry and we don’t think it will go anytime soon. In fact, Nokia is popular for many reasons. For one, the brand is good at pushing out updates. Nokia Android phones usually get the latest version in a timely manner.

The future Nokia Android smartphones are also said to run Android One which means a lighter version of Android–less bloatware. No other extra features or apps will be included, just basic Android–with faster updates. This is another good reason why you should consider getting a Nokia phone.

There’s also the prices of these Nokia phones. These are mid-range devices but their specs are already good. Not all Nokia phones have dual rear cameras with Carl Zeiss optics but the phones that do can be great for mobile photography.
