  • You can now pre-order the Huawei Nova 3E in China, which is an exact replica of the Huawei P20 Lite, albeit with a name change.
  • The specs for both devices are the same, and the pricing and color options line up with internet rumors.
  • Huawei will officially reveal the P20 line in Paris next Tuesday.

Huawei plans to reveal the new P20 line of smartphones in Paris on March 27. The hype surrounding the Huawei P20, P20 Pro, and P20 Lite has been off-the-charts, but this new Huawei Nova 3E looks like it will be pretty cool, too. In fact, it looks exactly like the P20 Lite we saw in an unboxing video last week.

That’s because, for all intents and purposes, the P20 Lite and the Nova 3E are the same device, just with different monikers. Pre-orders are now open for the Nova 3E, and the ship date for those pre-orders is on March 27: the same day the P20 line will see its big reveal.

Just like the rumored specs of the P20 Lite, the Huawei Nova 3E comes with a 5.84-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080. There’s a 16 MP front-facing camera buried within the much-maligned notch at the top of the display, and a 16 MP shooter on the back that’s paired with a 2 MP depth-sensor.

Inside, the device is running on a Kirin 659 chip along with 4 GB of RAM. You’ll be able to store all the selfies you take on the 64 GB of built-in memory. If that’s not enough, you can always throw in a microSD card to expand your storage.

There’s a 3,000 mAh battery, and the device will come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, skinned with the latest entry in Huawei’s EMUI software, EMUI 8.0.
