Sometimes it’s okay to spell a word wrong or to cut out words to fit the whole message. That is just one example. However, a lot of people could use a little work on grammar and that includes me. However, given its creator, it’s probably worth it. There are some complaints about bugs around the app. However, the relatively majority seem to enjoy it quite a bit.

The app stretches that out across various skill levels, tests, etc. It also keep track of your scores and progress. This is definitely not an app you can push through in a day or even a week, probably. The app wraps up the experience in a wonderfully modern Material Design UI as well. The ads aren’t as intrusive as others, either. Otherwise, the app is completely free.

Grammarly is one of the newer free grammar apps. It’s actually a keyboard, similar to Gboard or SwiftKey. It includes features like auto-correct. However, it also attempts to correct your grammar as you type. It’ll recommend things like commas, verb form, misspellings, missing words, and confused words (like using to instead of too). This is a relatively newer app. It still has some bugs and some features missing like gesture typing. However, we expect fixes for those issues over time. The keyboard is free with no ads or in-app purchases at the time of this writing. That may change eventually.

However, you can pay $9.99 per month for YouTube Red and that unlocks some extra features.
